Best Starts for Kids Program Quality Manager

Lex leads the Best Starts for Kids Out-of-School Time quality initiative and communications efforts and helps develop SOWA’s race and social justice trainings.

Lex cut their teeth in youth organizing while on Stonewall Youth’s Speaker’s Bureau and as a board member of Queer Youth Space. They’ve worked in homeless youth services, youth mental health services with a focus on suicide prevention, and crisis intervention services with survivors of violence. Lex has performed or had works shown at venues such as Hugo House, Gay City, and Capitol Theater. They are fueled by their conviction that a just, liberated world is possible—and have spent the last decade working with young people throughout the Puget Sound on a path to build that world.
