Ka’ohe provides leadership and support for SOWA’s program quality initiatives across Washington.

Since the age of 12, Ka’ohe has been immersed in youth development programs, working directly with and supporting programs for young people in both staff and volunteer roles. In her 16 years with the YMCA of Snohomish County and the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Ka’ohe worked with programs ranging from early childhood to teens and young adults. She also supported local and national initiatives. Building relationships and supporting systems where young people can grow and thrive inspires her every day.
